Lon Grandison (Muqaddin) is the president and C.E.O. of Baitcal Media Group Inc. With more than 30 years of experience in the news and entertainment industry, he has become a respected media professional within the African-American community.
Lon presides over the corporation's divisions, including BC Television and Films, Baitcal Publishing, and Muslim News Magazine. A Los Angeles native, he has worked with some of the top names in entertainment, including 50 Cent, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, Jimmy Iovine, Magic Johnson, and others. Over the years, Lon has worked on numerous films and television shows, earning a solid reputation as a creative specialist. His producer credits include "Unsung Heroes of Soul," "Legend of Timbuktu," "Pacoima Stories: Land of Dreams," and "Changing a Nation: The Legacy of W. Deen Mohammed."
Lon also serves on several boards of directors, including as chairman of the Center for Advanced Learning, a public charter school. His leadership responsibilities include oversight of operations and managing the school's annual $5.5 million budget. The Center for Advanced Learning serves underprivileged families in South Los Angeles and has been recognized by the city for its educational excellence. Muqaddin has been praised by Los Angeles Unified School District officials for his outstanding work and leadership at the school.
