Meet Our President

Lon Grandison (Muqaddin) is president and C.E.O. of Baitcal Media Group. With over 30 years of experience in the news and entertainment industry, he has become a leading media professional in the African-American community.

Lon presides over the corporation's various divisions, including BC Television and Films, Baitcal Publishing, and Muslim News Magazine. A native of Los Angeles, he has worked with some of the top names in entertainment including, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent, Jamie Foxx, Sean Combs, Louis Gossett Jr., Jimmy Iovine, Magic Johnson, and others. Lon has worked on numerous productions, and T.V. shows throughout the years while developing a solid reputation as a creative specialist.

Lon also serves on several board of directors including as chairman of the Center for Advanced Learning, a public charter school. His leadership responsibilities include providing oversight to school operations and managing the schools annual $4.5 million budget. The Center for Advanced Learning serves underprivileged families in South Los Angeles and has been praised by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti for its educational excellence. Muqaddin has been praised by Los Angeles school district officials for his outstanding work and leadership at the school.
