ABOUT USBAIT-CAL Worldwide is a global entertainment group based in Hollywood, California. We produce and distribute multi-media content worldwide under exclusive licensing agreements to motion picture, television and digital providers, including studios, broadcast networks, cable networks, independent TV stations, satellite providers, and international news agencies. The company’s operates under the trademarked brand names of BAIT-CAL Films, BC Publishing and Muslim News Magazine. Our main objective is developing unique concepts for the film and television business to create new frontiers in the entertainment industry. Our credits & clients include ABC News, CNN, Spike-TV, CBS Television, Tribune Entertainment, Entertainment Tonight, Hard Copy, Bridges TV, Italian National Network, Dubai TV, Australian National Network and many more. Black Awareness in Television California (BAIT-CAL) was formed in 1972 to broaden participation in and utilization of media by African Americans. Organized by a group of professionals from Cal State University- Los Angeles, the company began conducting radio and television workshops that taaught trainees how to produce and perform the necessary skills to enter the field of broadcasting. More than 40 years later, BAIT-CAL has become a successful entertainment company boasting four decades of experience in the communications industry. Our company maintains an extensive library of photos, video and audio tape documenting the African American experience during that era. It features some of the most prominent names in American history including exclusive interviews with Rosa Parks, Muhammad Ali, Eddie Murphy, Dick Gregory, Quincy Jones and Minister Louis Farrakhan just to name a few. Today our extensive entertainment properties include the highly successful television series “Video Hot Mix”, which has been produced for Tribune Broadcast Stations and Spike TV. Also the award-winning documentary specials, "Unsung Heroes of Soul: The Philly Sound" and “The Legend of Timbuktu”, which both have been critically acclaimed worldwide. BAIT-CAL also owns a publishing division called BC Publishing. The company's most successful literary release "Memoirs of a Deputy Coroner: The Case of Marilyn Monroe" has been featured in numerous national magazine's. Written by Lionel Grandison Jr. and Samir Muqaddin, the book is distributed internationally and has become a top seller on Amazon. BAIT-CAL Films has now aquired the literary option to the story and a screenplay is has been developed for a motion picture based upon the story. Our news agency, Muslim News Magazine (MNM) is America's #1 source for news and information about Muslims in America. MNM is home to one of the world's largest collections American Islamic film, video and photo footage. This huge catalogue covers the Muslim-American experience over the last 50 years. MNM, which aired television episodes for seven seasons on Bridges TV and Dish Network, has launched a streaming Internet channel that provides 24/7 programming to audiences across the globe. In 2016, BAIT-CAL has released two new documentary films, "From Africa to the White House" and "PacoimaStories: Land of Dreams."
