BAIT-CAL Worldwide owns and operates a production, distribution and stock footage licensing company. The company distributes media content worldwide under exclusive licensing agreements to broadcast television outlets including -TV Networks, Cable Networks, independent TV Stations, Cable Companies and Satellite Providers as well as Motion Picture Studios and filmmakers.

The company’s main objective is to identify and market unique concepts for the television business and create new frontiers in the entertainment industry.  To this end, BAIT-CAL has produced programs which have aired internationally and received national recognition for television and film projects.

Our credits & clients include ABC News, 20/20, CNN, MTV, Current Affair, Hard Copy, Entertainment Tonight, Hard Copy, Inside Edition, Current Affair, American Journal, Bridges TV, Italian National Network, Australian National Network and many more.

Black Awareness in Television California (BAIT-CAL) was formed  in 1972 as a Non Profit Corporation to broaden participation in and utilization pf media by African Americans.  Organized by a group of professionals from Cal State University- Los Angeles, they began to conduct radio and television workshops where the trainees learned how to produce and perform the necessary skills to enter the field of broadcasting.

Today, its extensive entertainment properties include the highly successful television series “Video Hot Mix”, for Tribune Broadcast Stations and Spike TV also “Muslim News Magazine”, a long running report on Islamic news from around the world which, aired on Bridges TV/Dish Network”.  Specials include “Unsung Heroes of Soul, The Philly Sound",  “Corner Boy”, “Muhammad Ali: The Untold Story” and the highly acclaimed “8 Centuries of Muslims in America” They maintains an extensive library of audio and video tape on the African American Experience and historical footage covering the growth of Islam in America over the last 100 years.

In 2011, BAIT-CAL will reach for greater heights with an amazing new high profile film project scheduled and a powerful new feature documentary.
