About Us BAIT-CAL owns and operates an international film and television distribution company. It has developed a reputation as a source for quality programming for all audiences. The company distributes programming worldwide under exclusive licensing agreements to all broadcast outlets -TV Networks, independent TV Stations, Cable Companies and Satellite Providers as well as Digital Media Content including Web-Casting and DVD distribution. The company’s main objective is to identify and market unique concepts for the television business and train individuals to accomplish this task. To this end, they have produced programs which have aired around the world and received national recognition for television advertising campaigns such as Proline Corporation and their commercial messages. Their credits include Paramount Pictures award winning “The Marilyn Files, Life & Curious Death of Marilyn Monroe” also ABC News, 20/20, W.D. Mohammed & Guest, CNN, Current Affair, Hard Copy, Entertainment Tonight, Hard Copy, Inside Edition, Current Affair, American Journal, Italian National Network, Australian National Network and over 50 documentary titles releases. Black Awareness in Television California (BAIT-CAL) was formed in 1972 as a Non Profit Corporation to broaden participation in and utilization pf media by African Americans. Organized by a group of professionals from Cal State University- Los Angeles, they began to conduct radio and television workshops where the trainees learned how to produce and perform the necessary skills to enter the field of broadcasting. Its extensive entertainment properties include the highly successful television series “Video Hot Mix”, a DJ style music video Mix program for Tribune Broadcast Stations and Spike TV also “Muslim News Magazine”, a long running report on Islamic news from around the world which aired on Bridges TV/Dish Network”. Specials include “Unsung Heroes of Soul, The Philly Sound", “Rosa Parks, Quiet Courage”, “Ballots to Bullets”, “Legacy of W. D. Mohammed”, and the highly acclaimed “8 Centuries of Muslims in America” They maintains an extensive library of audio and video tape on the African American Experience and historical footage covering the growth of Islam in America over the last 100 years.
